Vertical Motors (TEFC)

BMR-150HP-TEFCBMR USA’s Vertical Hollow Shaft “TEFC” motors have an externally mounted fan covered by a shroud blowing air across the surface of the motor enclosure. Heat developed in the windings moves by convection outward through the motor case then into the air moving along the surface of the motor case. The motor case is a heat sink drawing heat from the motor interior to the outside. TEFC motors may have fins on the motor case enhancing this heat transfer into the air. BMR TEFC motors have FOUR ADVANTAGES. First, air is not drawn into the motor for cooling and therefore the windings stay clean and dry. Two, the windings are protected against direct entry of wind driven rain, directed spray, and splash from the ground. Three, insects and other vermin cannot enter the motor. And four, TEFC motors protect the single phase switch keeping it clean and dry.

• U.L approved insulation system, NEMA MG-1 Part 31 Inverter Duty, Non hydroscopic epoxy varnish, double VPI treatment
• Precision Cast “P” base design which allows motor to mount without taking off rodent screen
• Precision balanced die cast aluminum rotor with anti rust paint finish. Rotor is made from 600 grade silicon steel to minimize core loss
• Class F insulation with Class B Temp rise @ 1.15 S.F
• All stainless steel full data nameplate
• Twist spigot oil drain
• Oversized one piece sight glass
• Upper bracket machined for 175% EHT on 440 frames and above
• Handle grip oil fill plug for ease of removing and reinstalling
• 12 ball “Ball Type” non reverse ratchet made from ductile iron for superior rigidity
