The BMR USA VHS284TP-6-015P is a 15 HP, 1200 RPM Vertical Hollow Shaft Motor and the entry-level model in the 12-lead 1200 RPM HTA series lineup. Built on the compact 284TP cast iron frame, this motor is engineered for dependable, efficient performance in smaller deep well turbine pump applications where the flexibility of a 12-lead winding configuration is required for wye-delta or part-winding reduced voltage starting.

The 12-lead winding design sets this motor apart from the 6-lead series by providing greater starting method versatility. Wye-delta starting significantly reduces inrush current at startup, making the VHS284TP-6-015P an excellent choice for installations where utility demand charges, limited electrical infrastructure, or generator-powered systems make controlling locked rotor current a priority. This flexibility allows the motor to be matched to a wider range of starter types without the need for an electronic soft starter or variable frequency drive.
