The BMR USA VHS364TP-6-040P is a 40 HP, 1200 RPM Vertical Hollow Shaft Motor precision-engineered for the demanding conditions of deep well turbine pump applications. Operating at the lower 1200 RPM speed, this motor delivers high torque at reduced speed, making it especially well-suited for applications requiring higher starting torque or where pump designs call for a slower synchronous speed.
Built to meet or exceed NEMA standards, the VHS364TP-6-040P features a robust 364TP cast iron frame with a precision “P” base design that allows direct mounting without removing rodent screens. Its dual-flow airflow system, with strategically positioned vents in the lower bracket, provides superior cooling for reliable performance under continuous heavy-load operation.
With a NEMA Nominal Efficiency of 93.6% and a 1.15 service factor, this motor is rated for a 50°C ambient environment and altitudes up to 3,300 feet above sea level. The 12-ball ductile iron Ball Type Non-Reverse Ratchet protects the pump and motor during shutdown by preventing backspin.
Key applications include deep well turbine pumps, agricultural irrigation systems, municipal water supply, and industrial water management. The
VHS364TP-6-040P is compatible with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and is equipped with standard 120V space heater leads to prevent condensation during idle periods.
All BMR USA VHS motors are manufactured with Class H insulation, rated for a 50°C ambient, and are backed by a 2-year warranty from date of installation and a 3-year warranty from date of purchase.
