The BMR USA VHS404TP-6-060P is a 60 HP, 1200 RPM Vertical Hollow Shaft Motor built for dependable, high-efficiency performance in the most demanding deep well turbine pump applications. Stepping up to the 404TP frame, this motor delivers increased torque capacity at the lower 1200 RPM synchronous speed, making it well-suited for systems requiring greater starting torque or where 6-pole motor designs are specified.
The heavy-duty 404TP cast iron frame features a precision-cast “P” base that allows direct pump column mounting without removing the rodent screen. The oil bath thrust bearing system, standard on 400 series frames and above, provides robust support for the high axial loads common in deep well turbine pump applications. The dual-flow airflow system with strategically positioned lower bracket air ducts delivers superior cooling performance during continuous heavy-load operation.
With a NEMA Nominal Efficiency of 94.2% and a 1.15 service factor, the VHS404TP-6-060P is designed for 50°C ambient environments and altitudes up to 3,300 feet above sea level. The standard downthrust rating of 6,745 lbs reflects the step up in frame size from the 360-series motors, providing a stronger thrust load capacity for deeper and more demanding pump installations. The 12-ball ductile iron Ball Type Non-Reverse Ratchet safeguards both motor and pump from reverse rotation at shutdown.
Typical applications include deep well turbine pumps, agricultural and golf course irrigation, municipal water supply and treatment, industrial water systems, and mine dewatering operations. The VHS404TP-6-060P is inverter-compatible and equipped with standard 120V space heater leads to prevent condensation buildup during idle periods.
All BMR USA VHS motors are manufactured with Class H insulation, rated for a 50°C ambient, and are backed by a 2-year warranty from date of installation and a 3-year warranty from date of purchase.
